Ao dar uma volta pelos variadíssimos «My Space», já é possível vislumbrar um grande cartaz em perspectiva da segunda edição do Festival Músicas do Mar que ocorrerá entre os dias 28 e 30 de Agosto na Póvoa do Varzim. A 28 teremos os galegos Serra-lhe Aí (que actuaram no primeiro dia do FMM de Sines deste ano) e a banda lisboeta de blues Nobody’s Bizness. No dia seguinte, 29 de Agosto, os Deolinda antecedem um encontro explosivo entre os californianos Dengue Fever da sensualíssima cantora cambodjana Chhom Nimol, que misturam pop khmer dos anos 70 com surf rock e os finlandeses Alamaailman Vasarat (que estiveram em 2006 no palco da Av. da Praia do FMM de Sines). O Músicas do Mar encerra a dia 30 com a italiana Rosapaeda e o neozelandês Aron Ottigon (o fabuloso pianista do projecto Aronas). A 29 e 30 haverá também sessão de djing pelo Bailarico Sofisticado.

Recording!
Yes, the rumors are true.. We are in the studio at last recording our third album, and what a gem it shall be! We have chosen Jackpot studios for this one, and are working with our engineer friend Dean who is just fabulous. Our mixing will be done at Kung-Fu Bakery. So, how do you transfer the experience of our show onto CD? Well, it is a really fun challenge and we are rising to it. Recording puts us in touch with our music more than ever and really allows the songs to shine in a new way. We are having a lot of fun. Rumor has it there will even be a track of hoola-hooping (it has never before been done!). This CD marks the first album representing the band as it is now. The last one was made right when Mango joined us, and we were still solidifying as a group. This one will really carry our magic into the world. Look for it soon!

Muzu beta launches with Sony BMG on board

Muzu TV has beta launched its music video platform, with Sony BMG on board as the first major label partner.
Muzu TV enables fans to create a personalised music TV channel to share with friends and embed on their social networking sites. It allows labels to distribute their videos online and generate income through an ad-supported revenue model.
Sony BMG is the first major label to sign up, although the company already has deals with Ministry of Sound, Defected Records, Cherry Red Records, Eagle Rock, SPV, Planet Rock Profiles, Hollywood Music Inc., Ninja Tune and others.
"Muzu TV provides yet another route to market for our artists and a new revenue stream for our music," says Sony BMG UK head of business development Alex Vlassopulos.

Os californianos Yard Dogs moveram o seu Road Show até ao Oeste para apresentarem um espectáculo único e multifacetado, um misto entre teatro e interpretações musicais.
Durante 2 horas viaja-se no tempo e no espaço, reencontra-se o velho oeste, o burlesco, os cabarés, e todo um imaginário cultural perdido.
Sala cheia, onde ouve espaço para o Musicall da Oeste.tv assistir ao espectáculo.
